    Euro: My Norwegian 86` 325 M-tech1 *Restoring*

    Hey guy`s..

My name is Jørgen, and I`m from Norway. As u can see in my signature, I´ve been here before, with some threads of my thirty`s.
Some of u may have seen me on Instagram as @e30norway.

The last car I had, a "Hartge" 325, is sold, and I have bought my dreamcar:
    1986 BMW E30 325i M-tech1, sold new in Norway.
A rear piece of car these days.

The reason for me to want to buy an 86 is simple: I`m born in 86 to, and always loved the early modell best of all. And specially the M-Tech1.
This one is also sold new in Norway, and that make it even more special, since it`s not many left around here.

This car looks good. But, I will go on and restore it, to make it "as new" again.
It has been a lot of swaps here, S50, S38 etc, but now the one and only M20B25 sits in it. As it should be

Previous owners, has done some metallwork to fix rust.........and the work looks like crap. So have to redo all of it.
All over, the body is in pretty good shape, but it can, and will be better.

Also theres a lot of wiring stuff that needs to be fixed, like lights, cluster and so on.

Soooo, as said: Total restoring needs to be done.

Enough text, here are some pic`s.

This is when I picked it up.

    On our way home

Day after, on the ferry out to the island where I live

One hour after I came home

    Took it to the workshop

To take a look under that body...

And the first, and probably last real picture before the work is starting:

I dont have any "final date" this will be done, but I`ll try to take my time to build a very good M-Tech1.

I have a lot of parts, and some rare parts, that are waiting in my barn.

Hope u guy`s will follow me on my journey, and I`ll try to keep updating as much as possible.
I`m going three weeks at sea now, but I hope to start when I come home again, to part it out, and make it ready for bodywork and fresh paint.

    Best regards from Norway :)
Sorry for my bad language, I`m Norwegian ;)

Since I'm going at sea on thursday (I'm a chief engineer at a trawler), I'd had to do something today. Just to start. So here is some pic's from tonights work.

                      Ready to go

                      And so am I

                      Removed all the exterior

And this is how some of the previous owners fix rust.............

So thats a start I'll guess.
Next thing to do is to remove interior, take of the front plate, front fenders and lights.

                      Cheers

Good thing you removed those eyebrows and the black kidneys.

                          I admire your taste.

I hope you run some more sidewall on those tires tho.

Looking forward to seeing this progress, it's seeing your Instagram posts that's got me back looking on this forum!

I to love an M-Tech 1, I've had two UK Sports and a 4 door one, all ended up breakers due to horrific rust issue, one had repairs that made the ones on yours look professional!

                              Agree ;)

Do have to drive this size on the tires, since I`m lowering the car. So no more sidewalls, unfortunately.

Thank u! Thats sounds good:) Better view on a project here than on insta.

Rust is always a problem on those cars, specially those countries with salty roads or cars driven out on the coast :(
